World’s First in Tiger Milk Mushroom Cultivation

Once a hidden treasure in Malaysia’s forests, the Tiger Milk Mushroom inspired our founders’ curiosity. Guided by Dr. Tan Chon Seng, now renowned as the Patriarch of Tiger Milk Mushroom, we achieved the world’s first successful cultivation of this rare fungus through patented technology.


What was once an elusive traditional remedy, confined to the jungle, is now a consistent, potent, and scalable ingredient for modern health and wellness, an achievement that had eluded science for generations.

National and Global Recognition

LiGNO Biotech made history as the world’s first to successfully cultivate the Tiger Milk Mushroom. Building on this breakthrough, we introduced the first Tiger Milk Mushroom product registered with Malaysia’s National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), an achievement later recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records.

As CEO of LiGNO Biotech, she has driven the company’s growth into a leading biotechnology innovator, advancing scientific research and the potential of functional mushrooms.

With three decades of research in molecular biology and agricultural biotechnology, Dr. Tan is internationally recognized for his pioneering work on Tiger Milk Mushroom. He identified new species, uncovered its medicinal potential, and developed the world’s first cultivation technology, earning him the title Patriarch of Tiger Milk Mushroom.
